The final ARDENT workshop was hosted by the IEAP at the Masarykova Kolej venue, on the main grounds of Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague, located at address: Thákurova 550/1, 160 00 Praha 6-Dejvice, Česká Republika.

The ESRs presented their final results and anticipated future career steps. The training workshop topics covered included neutron dosimetry and radiobiology, with invited talks from international experts. Highlights included Prof. Stanislav Pospisil's special guest seminar about the history of pixel detectors and the social event dinner held out on the Vltava River.

The Third Annual ARDENT Workshop was jointly organised by IBA Dosimetry and CERN and took take place in Burgthann and Schwarzenbruck, nearby Nuerenberg, Germany. The Workshop, gathering together about fourty people including all fifteen ESRs, their supervisors and representatives of the Associate Partners was an update on the progress made at each institution and allowed for exchange of information.

Scientific results were presented over one and a half days by the ESRs and a poster session plus two seminars were organized.

A two-days training course by IBA Dosimetry on Quality Assurance in Therapy and Diagnostics and on Semiconductor Detectors was part of the workshop.

Meetings of the five ARDENT Project Boards took place for a total of half a day and a social event in the streets of Nuerenberg guaranteed a pleasant athmosphere despite the heavy programme.

A training course on Business and Administration (BA) was held at CERN from 19^th to 23^rd May 2014, consisting of three modules: Technology Transfer, Project Management and Entrepreneurship. The first module was given by CERN Knowledge and Technology Transfer group, the second by STS SAUTER Training and Simulation s.a., the third by the Said Business School at Oxford, UK.

Following the BA course, each ESR will spend some weeks on secondment at one of the ARDENT partners according to this downloadable program (last edited 15 September 2015).

The secondments'program

The second annual ARDENT workshop took place at the Politecnico of Milano during the celebration of the POLIMI's 150th anniversary. The Workshop gathered together all fifteen ESRs and their supervisors to update on the progress made at each institution and exchange information. During this workshop, each ESR presented the work done so far, experts were invited to deliver training courses on experimental micro- and nanodosimetry, and an entire day was dedicated especially to outreach activities. The Mid-term review also took place that week, with the participation of the EU Project Officer.

Ardent ESR's gathered at CERN and discussed their research before the Mid Term Meeting this October in Milan. As part of this programme, a visit to the ATLAS detector in the LHC was organised.

This event aimed to discuss a collaboration between CNAO and ARDENT and the possibility to obtain beam time in order to perform measurements of interest to both ARDENT and CNAO. This European collaboration represents an excellent opportunity for the ESRs to collect interesting experimental data for their PhD.
